Ingredients:
5 cups fresh berries or 6 cups
pure juice4 cups water
21/2 cups sugar or more
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine, melted and cooled
2 eggs beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
31/2 cups all purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
Note from grandma: I don't use whole berries. I mash the berries and use 6 cups pure juice, add water and sugar. I always use more sugar than called for. Sweeten according to your taste. Stir and cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Instructions:
Combine milk, 1 cup sugar, beaten eggs, and vanilla in large bowl: mix well and set aside
Combine flour and baking powder in separate bowl, stirring well
Gradually add flour mixture to milk mixture, stirring lightly until dry ingredients are mixed well and small balls can be formed.
Cook about 6 minutes, flipping them after about 3 minutes.
Check the middle of the dumpling with a toothpick; if done transfer dumpling to a bowl.
When done,
Serve with whipped cream. Enjoy!
